HealthPoint Medical Group is one of the largest medical groups in the Tampa Bay area.  Our Group includes over 90 Primary Care and Specialist physicians in more than 30 locations across Hillsborough and Pasco Counties.  We also provide after hours care at our Pediatric and Adult Walk-In Care locations.

PRIMARY CARE

• Family Medicine - To join established practice based at our Bearss Avenue office in north Tampa.
• Internal Medicine - New practice will be located at the St. Joseph's Hospital-North Medical Office Complex in north Tampa.  Opening available June 2009.
• Internal Medicine/Pediatrics - Race Track Road - New practice site to be located south of Countryway on Race Track Road in Oldsmar in west Hillsborough County, two miles from Tampa's Westchase area.  Opening in 2009.

SPECIALTY CARE

St. Joseph's Level II Trauma Center offers a high level of acute emergency care to children and adults who sustain life-threatening injuries, mainly from motor vehicle accidents and near drownings. The hospital is also a state-designated pediatric trauma referral center.

• General/Trauma Surgeon (2)
• Physician Advisor UM MSQ (Part-Time) - The Physician Advisor for Utilization/Case Management will serve as a peer liaison among Hospital Administration, Utilization Management, Quality Improvement and the Medical Staff regarding issues of utilization management. Serves as an educational resource that will enable the medical staff to become familiar with physcian specific data, and practice patterns and resource utilization patterns. Works closely with the Chairman of the Utilization Management Committee to enhance communication and feedback to the Medical Staff. This individual will be employed by, and based at, St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.

ST. JOSEPH’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF TAMPA
St. Joseph's Children's Hospital of Tampa is well known throughout the southeast United States as a leader in pediatric heart and cancer care.  With 80 pediatric physician specialists representing 25 medical and surgical disciplines, our board certified staff offers the care St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is known for.  Our specialized pediatric services are further strengthened by St. Joseph's Hospital full-service medical center, including the 24-hour Steinbrenner Emergency/Trauma Center for Children.

• Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist - To join four Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologists in private practice.  This is a leadership position and includes Medical Director and Research Laboratory responsibilities.  Opening available in 2010.

ST. JOSEPH’S WOMEN’S HOSPITAL
St. Joseph's Women's Hospital, located in central Tampa, offers complete Obstetrical, Perinatal, Surgical, Gynecological and Oncological services. Only St. Joseph's Women's Hospital offers the Breast Center and Healthy Heart Center  where women of all ages, race and backgrounds can receive the most advanced testing and treatment available. Our Mid-life Women's programs cater directly to women in the post child bearing years.

ST. JOSEPH’S HOSPITAL-NORTH
St. Joseph’s Hospital-North is a new facility in Lutz, on the north border of Tampa, which will open in 2009.  It will be a three-story, 350,000 square-foot acute care hospital featuring 108 all-private rooms, a full-service 30-bed emergency department and a technologically advanced all-digital, paperless environment. Key areas will include: All Private Rooms, Intensive Care Unit, Two Medical/Surgical Care units, Mother/Baby unit, Observation units for short-stay patients, Surgery Center, Interventional Treatment Center and ER with 20 private treatment rooms and a 10-bed fast-track area.

SOUTH FLORIDA BAPTIST HOSPITAL
South Florida Baptist Hospital, located in Plant City, is a full-service 147-bed community hospital that offers all of  the high-tech services of an acute care hospital, but in a small, warm and friendly environment designed for personal attention and compassionate care. In 2003, South Florida Baptist Hospital reached its 50-year milestone.

Plant City is geographically located in the west coast of Florida, approximately 25 miles east of Tampa, immediately west of Lakeland, 70 miles west of Orlando and the Gulf Coast Beaches are only 40 minutes away.
