Dr. Satish Dholakia, a Urologist with HealthPoint, has been appointed to the board of the American Cancer Society’s Southeast Hillsborough Unit.

Dr. Dholakia, who practices at Walden Lake Urology, has been involved in the cancer society’s Relay for Life in Plant City and Kentucky.  The relay is a major fundraiser for the cancer society.

A nomination form for his cancer society board membership stated, “Dr. Dholakia sees cancer patients frequently and desires to eradicate the illness” and he wants to “make a difference in the community.”

Dr. Dholakia is certified by the American Board of Urology.  He completed surgical and urology training at the Irwin Group of Hospitals in Jamnagar, India; Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y.; and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.; where he also finished a fellowship in renal transplant. Prior to joining HealthPoint, he practiced urology in Kentucky.
