Cardiac, Vascular & Thoracic Surgery Certified:
Sheryl Fagan, NP-C Sheryl Fagan is Certified as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She earned an Associate in Science in Nursing from Hillsborough Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, and a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida. Prior to joining Healthpoint, Ms. Fagan spent 21 years at St Joseph’s Hospital as an Endoscopy Staff RN, caring for the Gastroenterology patient population. Ms. Fagan’s clinical interests include esophageal reflux and motility disorders. She is a member of the Society of Gastroenterology Associates and the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network.

Diana Hashaw is Certified as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in Tampa, Florida and Master of Science in Family Nursing at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Her clinical interests include all types of surgery and wound care issues. Ms. Hashaw is a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurses’ Council, Inc., and the Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Alliance.
Pediatric Surgery Mr. Joseph Merritt is a Certified Physician Assistant. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and his Master of Physician Assistant at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics and the Florida Association of Physician Assistants.
Miok Ray, NP-C Breast Surgery
Miok Ray is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and a Masters of Science in Nursing from Ball State University in Indiana. Miok is highly skilled and experienced in oncology and primarily surgical breast oncology including the evaluation and treatment of benign and malignant breast disease. The majority of her time as a Nurse Practitioner has been spent specializing in high risk patients and genetic risk assessments. She comes from the first comprehensive health network in Indiana to be accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. She is also a member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers.
Katherine H. Rehberg, PA-CPediatric Surgery Katherine H. Rehberg is a Certified Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science in BioMedical Science from the University of South Florida, and her Masters of Science in Surgical Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, and The Junior League of Tampa. Mrs. Rehberg’s clinical interests include surgery, pediatrics, and dermatology.
Family Medicine Marla Crist Schenck is Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Ms. Schenck is a member of the Florida Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She serves as a clinical instructor for the University of South Florida College of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Prior to joining HealthPoint she worked at Indiana University in student health and at Shands Hospital in Gainesville through the University of Florida. Her clinical interests include adolescent health, women’s health, and exercise and nutrition.
Adult Medicine Nancy Seufert is Certified as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Masters of Science from the University of South Florida College of Nursing in Tampa and holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support instruction. Ms. Seufert has been a practicing nurse and nurse practitioner for over 30 years. She has clinical and managerial experience in a variety of hospital settings including Medical Surgical and Cardiac Critical and Progressive Care units. Prior to joining HealthPoint, Ms. Seufert lectured on critical care topics during her role as Critical Care Educator at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. She continues to teach in the clinical setting as a volunteer faculty member for University of South Florida Nurse Practitioner graduate level students. Her clinical interests include cardiology, diabetes, geriatric care and women’s health.
General and Trauma Surgery Lauren Stewart is Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her undergraduate degree in Nursing, cum laude, at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota, and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Ms. Stewart has over 9 years of nursing experience. She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Her clinical interests include trauma, acute care surgery and critical care medicine.

Cardiac, Vascular & Thoracic Surgery Seren Wallen, PA-C is a Certified Physician Assistant. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences. He went on to receive a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the Marietta College Physician Assistant program in Marietta, Ohio. Mr. Wallen also has completed the da Vinci Surgical Skills Training and EVH training for the Guidandt and Terumo systems. |
