General Surgery

General Surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal organs, such as the intestines, esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland.  General Surgeons also deal with diseases involving the skin, breast, and hernias. These surgeons deal mainly with the Torso.

Trauma Surgery is a surgical specialty involved in the invasive treatment of physical injuries, usually in an emergency setting. The trauma surgeon is responsible for the initial resuscitation and stabilization of the patient, as well as ongoing evaluation.  The broad scope of their surgical critical care training enables the Trauma Surgeon to address most injuries to the neck, chest, abdomen, and extremities.

Colon & Rectal Surgery is the division of medicine concerned with surgery performed on the intestinal tract, rectum, anus and peri-anal areas.
