Scott Lentz, MD

Scott Lentz, MD earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami.  He completed a General Surgery Internship and Residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center.  He then pursued further training in trauma and surgical critical care at University of Florida - Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville.  His clinical interests include all aspects of acute care surgery, minimally invasive surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, hernia surgery, and benign and malignant colon disease. 

Dr. Lentz’ research interests include resuscitation protocols for trauma patients and the diagnosis of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia in the surgical Intensive Care Unit.  He has served in Africa as a volunteer physician at Banso Baptist Hospital in Cameroon and at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya.
